(I tend to sleep from 00:00 to 08:00, set my wrist watch to that cycle) XDįor me Inconspicious is a must have! I prefer avoiding zombies! The less they see me the better my chances are of surviving. As for negative traits under/overweight give a fair amount of extra creation points and aren't to hard to lose by adjusting your eating. The way I play Cat's Eyes would be useless since darkness never bothers me. Traits like cat's eyes, brave, lucky, builder, fast learner, organized, nutritionist, dextrous etc add actual changes to your character you either have to start or you never will. Haha I use underweight instead since the power will cut out and I can just pig out and eat as much as possible before it spoils to gain weight!Įasier to gain weight than lose it, just like RL! XD I've been coming around to Slow Reader as well since the extra time seems rather minor and I really only use most books in downtime and when safe anyway. ![]() The first one is called Positive Traits and these perks make your character stronger. Early game is harder but those are traits which you can eventually work off. Traits in Project Zomboid are divided into two categories. Overweight and Obese are also quite good if you're trying for a long term character. Strength can be raised, if slowly, just from killing zombies, chopping trees and many other common tasks you're going to be doing anyway. Unless you are using a lot of guns and somehow also getting hurt and also surviving your wounds long enough to heal I don't see enough of a downside to ever pass on this in single player.Īs others have said, things that you cannot ever get from play (Cat's Eyes is a fave of mine) or traits that boost Physical stats, especially Fitness as it is incredibly slow and tedious to try to raise it. Keen hearing: Very good perk to have extra vison Hunter/eagle eye/outdoorsman: foraging bonus/exp/weather resist just cause. Three points for panicking for a short period if you have to heal yourself. Originally posted by Scooty Puff Sr.:I feel like Hemophobic is such a must-have in single player, at least. If you would like to see all the traits and a more in depth overview of what they actually do If i choose traits like this and you take things like strong and athletic etc you might reach max level faster than I will in these categories but I will reach max level eventually and when I do my character will have a bunch of extra capability that you would never attain. Traits like cat's eyes, brave, lucky, builder, fast learner, organized, nutritionist, dextrous etc add actual changes to your character you either have to start or you never will. You can start with a boost to skills like say cooking which will not only give you a head start on maxing it but also gives an additional xp boost but you can without doing so max every category in time anyways. ![]() I personally prefer to stock up on all the traits that give you permanent additions you cannot ever learn from a book or grinding.
